Fears of the spread of the Corona Virus have closed down many businesses in big cities, like Delhi. Laborers from remote areas of Rajasthan to Nepal rely on the work they get in these cities to provide for their families.  With everything shut down, sometimes they cannot get food for several days.

Water Wish NFP is providing these people with care packages full of nutritious basics for their meals.  Without this,

Oil, lentils, onions, potatoes, and biscuits are collected in bags and distribute these care packages to remote areas in the region.

Effective hygiene is a basic human need – one which you and I are so blessed to have, and more than ever we appreciate the value of soap and water in protecting us from disease. But imagine having no soap, little water and no way out.  This is the condition of millions of people in refugee camps. It is also often very difficult to get relief supplies into refugee camps because of the dangerous conditions around the camps. Think of the effort we put into obtaining soap and water and support this cause with as much as we can. It is critical that we send hygienic supplies to people trapped in Syrian, Rohingya, and other refugee camps.  Please help us to get as many supplies as we can to the areas where they are desperately needed.

Water is a life-sustaining need for all humans.  A well was built to provide water for the people in the area.  Though the surrounding area is mostly Hindu, the faucet for the well is kept inside the border of the masjid property to keep it safe from the vandalism that would occur if left on government-owned property.  Therefore, this water is used freely by the Hindus and Muslims.

Maintaining this well has brought these two communities together – who share a common goal of providing a better life for their children.  They work together to provide support for all of the families with mutual respect, true cooperation and real interfaith dialogue.

Right now, in some areas of India, very unjust practices are being inflicted on people based on their religion So this beautiful interfaith effort shows us how humans can truly live with each other in harmony.
